Both the biomaterial and microfabrication processes must be compatible with one another in order to produce a working device. This study deals with developing processes which are compatible with both micro-fabricated electrodes and the preparation of self-assembled amyloid fibrils (AB). Testing has been conducted on chrome/Au electrodes and Al electrodes with AB fibrils assembled and integrated using various techniques.
