Abstract: Leiomyomas are the most common benign lesions of the uterus which are composed of smooth muscle and fibrous connective tissue. Incidence in the female population varies from 20 -25 %( 1.Majority are confined to the body of uterus cervical fibroids are rare accounting for about 1 – 2 % of the leiomyomactic lesions.Here we are presenting a case discussion of cervical fibroid in a 39 year old female .A recap of the challenges involved in the management pertaining to cervical fibroids have been discussed in this case report.Summary: Cervical fibroids are a rare occurance with an incidence of about 1 – 2 % of all fibroids (2).These type of fibroids have varied presentations such as constipation,urinary retention,mass descending per vaginum,intermittent vaginal bleeding ,foul smelling vaginal discharge etc.Treatment varies from myomectomy either locally or laproscopically or may even can lead to hysterectomy . In our case report patient had main symptom as mass descending per vaginum with intermittent bleeding per vaginum.References: 1)Buttram VC Jr, Reiter RC.
