Abstract: CUT&Tag sequencing can be used to examine gene regulation or analyze transcription factors and other chromatin-associated protein bindings. Protein-DNA interactions regulate gene expression and are responsible for many biological processes and disease states. This epigenetic information is complementary to genotype and expression analysis. CUT&Tag is a simpler, more accurate, and less costly alternative to ChIP-Seq. Meanwhile, CUT&Tag sequencing and comparison to whole-genome sequence databases allow researchers to analyze target protein-DNA interactions and differences in epigenetic chromatin modifications. Therefore, CUT&Tag methods can be applied to proteins and modifications, including transcription factors, polymerases, structural proteins, protein modifications, and DNA modifications. Summary: CUT&Tag sequencing can be used to examine gene regulation or analyze transcription factors and other chromatin-associated protein bindings.
