Abstract: A vaccine is a biological preparation that provides active acquired immunity to a particular infectious disease. India have started vaccination program using Covishield and Covaxin. Covishield is developed by the Oxford University scientists in collaboration with the AstraZeneca and manufacted at serum institute and Covaxin Bharat Biotech is developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and National Institute of Virology (NIV). It is the largest vaccination program to reduce spread of infection in susceptible population. Vaccination will reduce large number of death in India and in world.
